Fourth of July

We celebrated America's Independence Day with some really great friends.  We grilled all kinds of food and swam and played lots of games.  The kids got good and TIRED - I have never seen them fall asleep so quickly.  Here are some of the pics from the festivities!

 Our gracious hosts, Mick and Marion - funny that we (the Germany-natives) celebrated America with these two, being that he is from New Zealand and she is from Finland!

 Lila hanging out with Lauren! She was a bit scared of the fireworks - and with good reason too! We were all standing in the driveway watching the fireworks when suddenly we hear a loud thud mere feet away - part of a [very hot] firework landed on my car! It left a good sized dent on my roof!

I am so glad it didn't hit any of the kids!
