Prayers for Amber and Her Family

Please pray for my dear friend Amber (Caden and Colin's mommy) and her family as they get through this tough time. Her only sister, Brandylynn, passed away late Sunday night, very unexpectedly and suddenly. Please pray for Brandylynn's parents, her brother and sister (Amber), and her two little girls, that they may find peace through this tragedy and press forward.

We love you Amber!!

Walking Just In Time for Delilah's Birthday!

Yesterday, my beautiful baby girl turned ONE YEAR OLD!! I can not believe how fast time has gone by. She is such an angel and has been the most wonderful addition to our family.

Also, I rewound two years and looked back at when I had Keegan's date down as when he started walking. Turns out, it was just when he could walk far enough and stable enough, not necessarily walking on his own. So, I am marking down July 24th, 2011 as Lila's first day of walking. I would say she walks everywhere that she can see. If she knows her destination is a bit further away (say, from the kitchen to the playroom), she will crawl, but otherwise she walks everywhere! Again, Happy [Belated] Birthday baby girl!!!

Silly Kids

When Lila was first born, I went through all of Keegan's newborn pictures trying to find a picture of him that she looked like. After a while I finally decided that they just didn't look enough alike to try to do that. Well I decided to go down memory lane, with Lila's first birthday coming up, and looked back at pictures from around Keegan's first birthday. First of all, it is so funny to see some of the facial expressions he made as a baby, some of the same facial expressions he makes today haha. And second, I found one of him making the same face that Lila makes all the time - I don't remember him doing that! I thought I'd share with you all. I just can't believe how fast my babies are growing up. I am SO glad I have the opportunity to stay at home with them right now - they are only this age once, I don't want to miss a thing!

What Constitutes As "Walking"?

Delilah can now walk a bit better. I have seen her take as many as around 15 steps at a time. That's enough to waddle her cute butt halfway across a room! If that constitutes as walking, then she started walking two days ago (July 20th)! I am still waiting for her to use walking as her primary mode of transportation before I mark it down in her timeline. That is what I did for Keegan, so that is what I shall do for Lila. After comparing timelines, I can officially say that Keegan was some sort of super baby!! Delilah is right where she should be. :)

Just four more days and my baby girl will be ONE! Where has the time gone??

Congratulations, Mollie!!

My dear friend Mollie gave birth to her beautiful daughter Evelyn Kailah Brown today at 4:52 pm. Little Evie weighs in at 7 lbs, 1 oz, and is 20 inches long! Wishing Mollie all the best with her new (and first) little one, congratulations!!

Happy [Belated] Birthday, Christian!

Wishing Jonas's cousin Christian a happy belated birthday! His birthday was yesterday, but hopefully he will continue to celebrate and enjoy his birthday! We love and miss you, hope you had the best birthday ever!

Yesterday (July 20th) was also our dog Cooper's birthday! He got lots of yummy treats, hugs, and kisses!

We have had a busy couple of weeks! Well, a busy year looking back, haha. It is so hard to believe that Delilah will be ONE YEAR OLD in just about two weeks. Where has the time gone?? She is starting to walk more and more, and my guess is that she will be completely there by her birthday. She will take three or four steps then fall down, but she's starting to get more confident and I think that's all it will take! And Keegan is healing well from his fall, his stitches look really good and they come out on Tuesday! Here are some pictures of the last couple weeks!

Later that night, at the fireworks festival in downtown Shreveport - it wound up storming and we had to walk about a mile in the pouring rain to get back to our car..we missed the fireworks!

Taken this morning - his stitches look great, the incision looks better, and I am hopeful that he won't have too big of a scar there! The best news is, though, that he is happy and healthy, he only notices the stitches when he bumps his head - otherwise, he just says that his knee hurts! Haha

Quick Update

I just wanted to update everyone on Keegan's trip to the ER last night. After we got home from "fireworks" (the rain shooed us away), Keegan was playing around with Lila when he fell down and hit the corner of a chair. After several hours in the hospital and three stitches, he is home now and sleeping it off. More updates to come later, and several pictures from our fun-filled past few days!

P.S. He was cracking everybody up in the waiting room, being his normal comedic self. He has been asleep since before he got the stitches so I am not sure how he is feeling, but at least he's home and with his family! I'll let you all know more details later.
