Updates and Pictures!

Well I have been quite busy since my last update! I have enrolled in school and been studying for class. Jonas's mom came into town about a week ago. Lila is now a month old and growing so big. Keegan is still such a good big brother, but I think he's entering his terrible twos so the days are a bit more difficult.

For my birthday (which is tomorrow), Jonas gave me the gift of blonde hair! Really blonde hair! Hehe :)

Moma and her granddaughter. I HAVE to say something about when Keegan, Lila and I picked her up from the airport. Keegan was sitting on a table, I was sitting on a chair next to him. We were looking down the hallway, waiting for her to come through security. As soon as she came into sight, he sat straight up and said "Moma!" I let him down off the table and he immediately took off running. He first ran backwards a little bit to get around a wall, then he ran straight for Babs shouting "Moma! Moma!" the whole way there. He ran up to her with his arms wide open, wanting the biggest hug. It was truly the cutest thing ever, something you only see in movies (coming from a one year old boy!).

Whenever he comes into the bedroom and Lila is sleeping, he loves to get under the blanket with her. It's so cute :)

Hot Fun In The Summertime!

It has been ridiculously hot here the past couple weeks, we've been under a heat advisory that seems to have no end. So, running through the sprinklers has become part of Keegan's daily schedule. He loves it! That and spending time with Daddy, of course. :)

Rule #271. When facing a difficult task, act as though it is impossible to fail. If you're going after Moby Dick, take along the tarter sauce.

Growing Baby Lila!

So this picture is a little late, I know! I didn't get around to taking a picture on Friday, my due date, but I got one today! Once she starts getting more alert, I will take more pictures - right now they're all just of her sleeping so it's the same shot over and over, haha.

At her appointment on Friday, she weighed 9 lbs 1 oz (4110.680 g) and was 22 inches (55.9 cm) long. She has grown a significant amount! According to her doctor, most babies just get back up to their birth weight around three weeks old, and Lila has not only gotten back to her birth weight, but also gained an extra 9 oz on top of that, and all before three weeks of age!

Needless to say, Lila Anne has been a very happy and VERY healthy baby. :)

It hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be - Lila is a great sleeper and Keegan has been such a sweet angel and been so patient with us. He loves to help with Lila, whether it be turning on her music for her or throwing her diapers in the garbage or just holding her and kissing her. Lila has pretty much made her schedule, and it's just about the same every night so we know what to expect (most of the time - newborns have the tendency to be unpredictable at times though). Today/tomorrow (August 13th) is my official due date. Lila will visit the doctor in the morning, just for a check-up. She is 18 days old. I am excited to find out her height and weight! I will (hopefully) update after her appointment with her weight and a picture of both of us on her due date! :)
