Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, especially with the pictures. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures for you today either. I'll try to work on that, I promise!
Keegan is officially registered for kindergarten. No going back now, we signed a contract!! (I swear, these magnet schools here feel like college) We are beyond excited for him :) Delilah will be attending the preschool that Keegan is at now, so we will have both kids in school! Woo hoo!
Speaking of Delilah, she is going in for surgery on Monday. She will be having a Tympanostomy, or ear tubes put in her ears. I've found this really helpful video to show what will be done, for those who are not familiar with this procedure. We are hoping this helps her with two things: her chronic ear infections, and her hearing and speech. I am not sure if I posted about this before, but we had her hearing tested in January, and her left ear has some minor hearing loss. We think it is due to all of the ear infections she gets, which attributes to how she is always sick, whether it be just a runny nose or full on flu-like symptoms. We believe this also has something to do with her delayed speech development (she will be three in less than three months, and says little more than "mommy" and "daddy"), so we are keeping our fingers crossed for some major advances in that once she recovers from this surgery. Though it is a routine procedure, she will still have to be under anesthesia, and that is a first for us, so we are nervous. All four of us are waking up super early to go with her to the hospital Monday morning - she has to be there by 6:30. It is a 10 minute procedure, so we should be home by 9, assuming we are first in line and everything goes smoothly. I will post an update for you sometime on Monday. Prayers welcome!!
