Keegan's FIRST Birthday Party

We had a little party for Keegan last night. I unfortunately didn't get any pictures of the adults but I took plenty of the kids there! We had hot dogs, hamburgers, chili, homemade cheese dip, and a big cake! It was a lot of fun and everybody enjoyed themselves. :)

He was SOO tired by the time he finished his piece of cake! It was a long day for him.

Today is Keegan's BIRTHDAY!! I can't believe he's already one! Jonas and I couldn't wait until his party tonight to give him one of his birthday present, so here he is playing with it.

Cuddle Buddy

Keegan's favorite cuddle toy is his Sampson, a giant dog. It's so cute to see him when he gets tired just lay on Sampson.

Bear Chair Fun!

Keegan has this rocking chair (which I call the "bear chair" because it has a bear on it) and he is just now starting to use it more often. It's so cute to see him sitting in it, but then he stands on it backwards and can't figure out how to get down! It's a lot of fun for him ;)

George Cameran Menden

Today marks the four year anniversary of my dear friend Cameran's death.

On this day every year, I remember all the times he and I had together. I've known him since the day I moved to Georgia when I was eight years old. He was my first friend, and my best friend. Junior year, I lost him in a car accident. He is the reason why I take so many pictures now. He and I shared eight years together and don't have a single picture to show for it. I was against taking pictures, I thought it was stupid... After I lost him, I thought to myself, "I don't even have a picture to hold onto that represents the friendship that he and I had

together." With every friendship I've had since his death, I've taken pictures every opportunity I got. With Keegan, I will continue to take pictures constantly. You've got to have something to hold on to...

Today, my thoughts and prayers are with his family - his parents George and Laurie, and his sisters, Lindsay and Courtney. What a wonderful boy you've brought into this world, he will never be forgotten.

Keegan has recently figured out how to do what I like to call "the fish face", others may call it a kissy face hehe. I was lucky enough to snap a picture of it! (nowadays when I pull the camera out, he makes a silly face!)

Birthday Weekend

Opa came into town on Friday night and we had such a good time. Unfortunately, on Saturday, the weather wasn't the best, but on Sunday it was great. We went to the Boardwalk and out for dinner at Pasados (great Mexican food). It was a very relaxing weekend!

For my birthday, I got a wonderful new camera! I love the quality of the pictures it takes, here are some of my favorites from the weekend!
