Our newest hobby is chasing storms. We thought it's way better to chase them, than have them chase us. Due to our new love, we had to drive all the way to Louisiana last week in order to see our latest storm - Gustav, a category 5 hurricane (when we "saw" it, it was not even a hurricane any more, but anyway!!) hitting the US gulf coast.
Not a lot of you knew about our secret love, so we thought we should show you guys some pictures of our trips. Please don't be irritated by the National Geographic logo, our photos have already been published!
Hurricane Erica in the wasteland of Alabama's south.
A tornado we saw on our road trip between the Grand Canyon and Prescott.
The tornado that built up next to our house in may.
Now that you guys know about it, please don't blame us for our dangerous love of chasing storms!
"It is better to meet danger than to wait for it. He that is on a lee shore, and foresees a hurricane, stands out to sea and encounters a storm to avoid a shipwreck."
- National Geographic talking about stormchasers
Take care!
