Keegan's Valentine's Day Party

Today we had the Valentine's Day Party for Keegan's class at school! We made our own pizzas, decorated our own cupcakes, and made candy necklaces! We also had a Hershey's Kiss Hunt, and had planned to make mailboxes for when the kids pass out Valentine's cards, but we ran out of time (we were the last class to leave!).

It was so nice to see Keegan in his own special environment, and to see Delilah fitting in with the "big kids." We had a nice time! Now on to the next. Ha!

Delilah's First Words??

I am not sure if I posted about this a while back, when Lila seemed to say "Take a bath" repeatedly. She still does that occasionally, and it still sounds like "Take a bath", but this thing she said the other day was clear as day.

She and Keegan was having their usually daily fight, where she grabs something that was his (because everything to a three year old is his, even if it's yours, it's really his!) and he wanted it back. So they're both screaming at each other and crying, and Lila stands up and points a finger at Keegan and yells, "Stop! Stop it!" and Keegan and I just kinda look at each other, thinking, did that really just happen? And she's been telling everybody and everything to stop since! I know I shouldn't laugh, probably even shouldn't be proud that those are the words she knows, but it is too funny and too cute! So, I don't know which to call her first words. Whenever she says something else more clearly, it'll probably be that, but in the meantime.. this babbling baby is starting to make sense!!

Delilah Singing

Delilah has got QUITE a personality on her!! If you thought Keegan was animated... you wouldn't believe Delilah! The other day, we were at an indoor play park with a friend of mine and her kids, and Lila kept fake falling (they looked real at first, but after about 20 seconds we caught on to her act!) and then fake crying. And, of course, I have a video of her fake laughing on camera, which is exactly where she belongs... on camera!! I swear, these kids have too big of personalities to not share with the world.

I don't know if this is a difference just in their personalities, or in boys versus girls, but Keegan never sang (until last week when he started singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" - video coming soon!) and Delilah already does, even before she can speak. I caught it on video for y'all :)

She found a little microphone and automatically knew what to do with it!

When did she get so big and fearless? Bittersweet (although I think more bitter than sweet!!)
