Random Wedding Photos

My mom bought me a really nice camera for Christmas a few years ago. I don't use it much because it's very big and just a hassle to carry around, but it takes really good outdoor pictures, so I used it at the wedding. Here are a few random pictures I took at the wedding that I am sorta proud of. :)

Rule #108. When dining with clients or business associates, never order more than one cocktail or one glass of wine. If no one else is drinking, don't drink at all.

Atkins Wedding!!

Today, at 2:00 PM in Chatham, Louisiana, we witnessed the marriage of our good friends David Atkins and Kalie Smalling.
It was really cute, held at Kalie's mom's house. Kalie had a grand entrance by coming up in a boat on the lake/pond.Their first kiss as husband and wife was so sweet, it nearly brought tears to my eyes. I am so happy for them!!After the wedding, the reception was held at the same house about a mile away (the pond was far in the backyard) and everybody just mingled, ate, and had a good time. The grandma's with the kids. This is my "Jonas, you're in the doghouse" face because Keegan threw up on me AND my dress and all Jonas did was continue snapping pictures. The daughter of the bride and groom, Avery June. Thanks to my awesome photography skills (PSHH right), here's a picture of Kalie in front of the lake she rode up on.Three generations of one of the most beautiful families. My favorite picture :) Keegan and his Oma.Newlyweds! And their baby :)

Kalie's sister Shea with her son Colton.

Die Familie Schuster
Keegan LOVES getting on his daddy's shoulders.I tried to make it so we were all matching. It was a fun time! There was an 80% chance of rain today. It sprinkled lightly beginning when they were saying their vows; it was perfect wedding weather! It stopped sprinkling at the reception. How perfect! God held in the rain until after the entire wedding; it's a sign! So, congratulations to the very happy couple, we wish you a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness!!

Rule #107. Smile a lot. It costs nothing and is beyond price.

Oma Arrives... and Meets Bingo!

Yesterday, Keegan and I picked Oma (Jonas's mom) up from the airport and spent the night in Dallas with her. I managed to keep Bingo a secret, and right before we walked into the door to the apartment this morning, I said to her "Oh, by the way, I think we have a small rodent problem."

She came in and said hello, and about ten minutes later, we heard Bingo drinking from the cat bowl. I looked and saw both of the cats looking into the kitchen...the perfect opportunity.

Me: "See? Jonas, I really think we have mice or rats or something, do you hear that??"
Oma: "Yeah, I hear it." {*walks into the kitchen*} "AHH!!!! Yeah yeah, it's there! Look! It's drinking! Ahh! It's there! Ahh!"

She sort of hid behind the wall to the kitchen and crouched down and continued to point and look back at us and point. So I peek over the counter and, still trying not to reveal our secret, said:

"Oh my gosh, yeah! Jonas look! It looks like a small possum!!"

Jonas ruined it by calmly laughing and the joke was over, but I found it to be funny while it lasted.
The next few weeks will be filled with fun, after today being our day of rest. Have a great weekend!

Rule #106. Never cheat.

Bingo!

Well, since we no longer have Vixey in our lives, I felt like we needed something to spice it up a bit. The cats are getting older and becoming less and less playful. So, last week, Jonas and I welcomed Bingo into our home.

He's just like a little puppy. He's so hyper and full of energy, always nipping at your toes. Nonetheless, we like him and he is getting along well with the cats.

Rule #105. Treat yourself to a massage on your birthday.

Seven Months Old!

Today Keegan is SEVEN MONTHS OLD! I can't believe how fast it's gone by. Also today, I noticed that he got his first top tooth. That makes three!! Something to add to the timeline :)

Rule #104. Take a brisk thirty-minute walk every day.

I'm Baaacck!

So, I drove through the night last night so that I could surprise Jonas when he got home from work. I made sure to keep everything in the main rooms as he left them, and I parked on the other side of the parking lot. He first noticed something wasn't the same when Keegan's bedroom door was closed, but was very surprised to see us nonetheless!! It is so great to be home.

Unfortunately, I misplaced my camera in Atlanta. It has to be in my mom's house, so hopefully it will turn up. I got some ADORABLE pictures!! I'm so bummed.

In the meantime, I've put together a rough timeline of milestones for Keegan! Enjoy!

I can't stand being without my Daddy...

Keegan and his Mom are in Atlanta right now, taking care of the siblings, uncles, aunt, Granny and Grandpa. In the meantime, Daddy is working in Shreveport. but I managed to fly out there on my short break last weekend to see my two favorites! It was just great to see him so grown up and seeing the love of my life always makes me feel amazing anyway!:)

Isn't he adorable?!

As we can see on the picture, Keegan can't stand being without his Dad, but there is something else we can see. He is standing up. Just recently he managed to pull up on pretty much everything and he is standing up like a big boy now. He loves standing there, holding on with both hands and if you call him he tries to find you and smiles at you, still focusing on not letting go of whatever he is holding on.

wedding next weekend!

I am sure once Sam is back that the blog gets regular updates, especially new pics with Keegan's Oma from Germany.

So long, take care everybody!
