Old Web Blog

I just came across a blog that I wrote in in 2007. Some of the stuff is interesting, some is funny. It's cool to see the way I thought and wrote back then, even though it wasn't very long ago. Feel free to check it out and leave comments about it either here or directly on the site:

These Past Days

Sorry I haven't written much in the past few days! Keegan has been teething or something (it's sometimes hard to tell with babies) and he has been crying non-stop. Jonas has been working dayshift the past few days, and today is his last day before his 72 hour break. We are soo looking forward to that. We have plans to go apply for a new apartment, maybe go to a park for a walk or go walking down at the Boardwalk. It all depends on how the weather holds up for us.

I received some exciting news that my dad and little brother will be coming to visit me this weekend!! I can't wait for that, I haven't seen them since Thanksgiving!

He's coming with Conner (the blondie in the red). Woo hoo!!

February 6th, 2009

Today, Avery came over to play with Keegan. Here are some pictures!

Even with a semi-angry look on his face, Keegan is so cute!

Here's the Avster checking out her reflection in the glass!! This was so funny:)

Isn't he a doll!?

New Orleans Feb 4-5

Jonas, Keegan and I had ourselves a little vacation this week. Jonas had an interview in order to complete his application for a Green Card, and I had to be present. Since Jonas had a couple days off of work, we decided stay over night.

Well, it's a good thing I forgot my camera at home. :( It didn't matter anyway because Keegan was up every hour of the night. It was either because the poor guy was teething or just homesick. Anyway, Jonas and I were so frustrated the next morning that we just went straight back home. So it was our first time to New Orleans, but I'm sure it won't be our last.

Answer to the Poll!

Sorry it's been a while since I've last written, we've had a busy past few days!

Well, I posted a poll asking "What was Keegan's name before it was Keegan?" Here are the choices with the number of picks next to it:

Caden (1)
Carter (0)
Christopher (0)
Caleb (1)
Cooper (1)
Cody (0)
Corey (0)
Culver (0)

So, there was a three way tie between Caden, Caleb and Cooper. And the winner is (*dun*dun*dun*) ... COOPER! It was going to be Cooper Douglas Schuster..Boy am I glad we picked Keegan Pierce. Cooper Douglas is a cute name, but isn't Keegan Pierce cuter??

Sci-Port

Today, Keegan and I went with Kalie and Avery to this place called Sci-port.

It was really cool! It's a great place full of fun ways for kids to learn all about space. We met up with the other Stay-At-Home Moms in Shreveport and had a blast. I can't wait to go back when Keegan is older and able to play with everything.

We took some cool pictures with Kalie's camera. Unfortunately, I left mine at home so I have to wait until I get the pictures from her before I can put them on here. It was a bunch of fun though!

Superbowl Sunday!!

February is a big month for my family. We've got Valentine's Day (which we've never celebrated before..last year on VDay we were 5,000 miles apart) and Jonas's 24th birthday. I hope today isn't a foreshadow for how the month will turn out. It's very foggy and dreary outside. It's a bit misty and pretty cold. I don't like this kind of weather.Keegan and I stayed up late last night, so we both slept in this morning. I woke up around 9:30 and Keegan woke up close to 11:00. Normally, he cries in the morning until I go in there to tend to his every need, but this morning he didn't. I'm not sure why, but he's been a happy boy all day. I'm glad too, because last night Jonas started working the night shift again, so he's in bed sleeping and probably will be until close to dinner time, when he'll have to get up, eat, then go to work for another 12 hours. It's weird giving him a goodbye kiss as he leaves for work and saying "I'll see you tomorrow."

Anyway, I took some pictures of my happy boy this morning that I want to share!

With Bo and Sophie in his crib!

Look at how he tugs on Sophie's fur!

He loves his swing!

Tonight, I think we're all going over to Kalie's place for a superbowl dinner. I'm sure I'll stay and watch the game with Kalie, Keegan, and Avery while David and Jonas go to work. Goooo Cardinals!Rule #47. Don't waste time learning the "tricks of the trade." Instead, learn the trade.
